Description
I often think about why a lighthouse was built. A story to be told, perhaps a dire event, of that I’m sure. This is Ram Island Ledge of which a lighthouse was built. Completely surrounded by water and jagged rocks. I really wanted to capture the real subject of why a lighthouse is needed, I think this is it. So harsh, rugged, intense, raw, and historic, yet so pristine and beautiful. A place so difficult and remote that it’s like stepping on the moon. Portland Headlight in the distance, seems so far away.
