I had forgotten about this little gem in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Portland. A light snow was still falling early this mid autumn morning and I couldn't pass up a shot. I'll definitely keep this on my future radar.
A little history.... The stone dam at Stroudwater Falls was originally built in the 1840's and was low enough for the migration of Alewives, later it was raised for the ice industry.
